Welcome!
Have you ever wondered about the political views others hold? "How could they possibly think that? Aren't they supposed to be Christians?" If we're honest, many of us have puzzled this way about friends, family, or even fellow church members. But we never dare bring it up.

Why? God has placed something in all of our hearts (Hebrews 8:10): a sense of right and wrong, or what's "fair and unfair." During conversations, this innate sense of justice can rush up from deep within us. Strong emotions quickly emerge when we feel that others are trampling on our moral beliefs. In those heated moments, relationships can suffer irreversible damage. So we choose to hold our tongues.

Unfortunately, simply not communicating doesn't help. The damage still occurs, just more slowly and silently. Families are separated. Fellow church members grow walls. Bottled-up emotions fester. Communication is a first step in mending relationships. But where to start?
Welcome to "Christian Crossroads." A platform where members share their diverse views on current and recent events from a Christian perspective. The purpose is to promote respectful, thoughtful communication and hopefully foster mutual understanding. Unlike social media, where strangers often gather to exchange insults, this site is intended for members of the faith community to share their thoughts; to work through the facts and moral basis behind polarized views.

Jesus said the second most important commandment is to love one another. (See Mark 12:31, 1 John 4: 20-21). What is love? It's not necessarily affirmation but it is always compassion.
